<< What's the official status on this. Do all chars get the 2 A/M plus those of their martial art and boxing or do they just get the ones from the martial art and not the additional plus 2 that all chars get? >>
For the umpteenth time .... EVERY character starts with 2 attacks, then adds any obtained from physical skills.
Maryann
Palladium
What this means is that a character WITHOUT any hand to hand skills or physical skills that added attacks such as Boxing. Has TWO attacks per melee.
Now the same character that took a Hand to Hand Combat skill would have two PLUS those gained from the combat skill. Thus using HtH Combat Basic as an example. The character would have FOUR attacks per melee at level one.
Other skills such as Boxing would add even more attacks.
Palladium Fantasy RPG
Characters start out with ONE attack per melee. This is increased by the selection of combat and other physical skills.
When taking a PFRPG character to Rifts® Earth you ADD TWO attacks per melee onto whatever the character had to began with. Besides this one, there are no other modifications to a PFRPG character.
If you do not agree with these statements then here is one final proof.
Attacks Per Melee
"Characters form most Palladium games are suited for combat in Rifts® without adjusting the number of attacks per melee. Heroes Unlimited™, Ninjas & Superspies™, TMNT™, Robotech™ and Beyond the Supernatural™ are all based on the same hand to hand combat system ..."
"All characters start with two hand to hand attacks per melee plus additional melee attacks gained from hand to hand combat training and other skill like boxing, and/or from O.C.C. training like Heroes Unlimited™ characters created under physical and special training."Excerpt from:
